Kish Gas Field :
Exploration of gas reserves in the Persian Gulf, carried out through a research project in 1996 entitled "The Evaluation of KHUFF" by IOOC. Then, the project handed over to the Exploration Management of NIOC for further studies. Deepening the existing well and drilling a new well by 2001 and 2004, the existence of hydrocarbon reserves in Kish Dehram Reservoir with a capacity of 48 trillion cubic feet was proved. Drilling of another appraisal well is underway to estimate the extension of the field.
